Welcome to the Taipa Area School website. I am very proud to lead Taipa Area School as Tūmuaki-Principal from April 2025. Our kura has approximately 430 students from Year 1 to Year 13 (ages 5-18 years). We are a caring, close-knit community focused on our three core values of manaakitanga (respect for ourselves and others), mahitahi (working together) for painga (positive outcomes).
Our strategic direction for 2023-2025, set by our Board of Trustees, embodies the vision of “Kia ngātahi te koe, kia whakatere te waka ki uta”—Navigate together for success. This direction is supported by our strategic goals, which focus on safety, belonging, achievement, and engagement.
Being an area school of our size means that we can focus on growing each and every individual within the whānau of our kura.
We all know that it “takes a village” to raise our tamariki. I look forward to working with you ngātahi-together to guide them on their journey.
