At Taipa Area School, we have a vision statement that resonates with our whānau and community: ‘Navigate together for success’.

The foundations of this vision are in developing genuine relationships with our students, which allow them a strong sense of belonging, safety and the ability to achieve personal goals. Most of the students whakapapa to the iwi of Ngāti Kahu. Our school vision embraces our local history, culture, and language.

We invite applications for a permanent English teaching position commencing at the start of Term one 2024. Achievement in English at Taipa Area School has been excellent over the past five years. Therefore, we seek an innovative and enthusiastic teacher with exemplary achievements in teaching NCEA English to continue this. The faculty is collegial, well resourced and has a relational approach to delivering engaging lessons.

Doubtless Bay is an excellent place to live and work. Our school backs onto Taipa Beach, which we guarantee is the best open-air classroom in Northland.

A schoolhouse is available for this position.

Our school is on a waka, which puts student well-being and attainment at the heart of everything we do. We have three strong values of Manaakitanga, Painga and Mahitahi, which we live and breathe daily.

This vacancy is an exciting opportunity for an NZ registered teacher to add value to and grow within a supportive, thriving, well-resourced team.
